Welcome to Eye Candy Beads!
Welcome to Eye Candy Beads, where using a rainbow of Italian glass, artist Elizabeth Drake designs and creates whimsical glass beads for her handcrafted jewelry. Elizabeth may use several materials and take half an hour to create a single bead. She uses the finest glass and a torch, wrapping layers of color around a spinning rod and using liquid glass like color crayons. Her techniques date back to antiquity. Where color and fire meet, Elizabeth creates art that will last. Each creation is heat annealed for strength and longevity.

Bead Buzz

Happy Spring 2008 !!! The snow is finally melting away and I am ready to say good riddence to the winter clothes untill next year.
Eye Candy beads will be doing the first show of the new year in Seattle for the best of the Northwest. That show will be March 14,15 & 16th at Quest field, in Seattle. More shows will be added as the season rolls on. My work can also be seen at the Twisp farmers market April - June, and then I will be at the Manson farmers markets through September.
This website may also be down temporarily for remodeling. I plan on making the site into an ongoing gallery of new glass creations. You will also be able to e-mail me any special request for loose beads and custom pieces as always.
I hope everyone has a great Spring and I will keep you updated as my schedule changes.

Peace, Love & Beads,

Elizabeth
